Senior Services in Chino

Choosing where to live after retirement can be a difficult undertaking.  Here are a few ways Chino Hills can make that decision a little bit easier for you or someone you might know.

The Seniors Assisted by Visiting Volunteers and Youth (SAVVY) program and services such as the Recreation Programing and Omnilink can help improve the quality of life, health and nutrition of seniors in the Chino Hills Area.

The SAVVY Program strives to provide support for home-bound and senior residents by providing companionship and can help in the following ways:

             —   Visit and provide companionship

Assist with telephone calls and paperwork

   Pick up prescriptions

Assist with grocery shopping and errands

Help with greeting cards and mail

Assist in finding needed resources for repairs/services

The Chino Hills Recreation Division has activities and trips planed for residents above the age of 55 including daily lunches (Mon-Fri) at the Chino Senior Center, an ice cream social Aug. 19 and a Halloween Masquerade Oct. 26.

And if you need to get to these activities and don’t want to drive there’s Omnilink which is a demand-response transportation system providing curb-to-curb service for residents in Chino Hills.
