Free Movies in the Park Chino Hills, CA

The City of Chino Hills will host “Movies in the Park” on Thursdays throughout the months of July and August. Movies in the Park is an annual family event that runs for six weeks at the Chino Hills Community Center, 14250 Peyton Drive. Bring your own lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the free movie event with your families available on Thursdays starting from July 6 until August 10. Show times will begin approximately at 7:45p.m. or dusk. Snacks will be available for purchase and all proceeds will benefit the Chino Hills Volunteer program.

To celebrate 25 years of Storytelling, Chino Hills, CA community encourages its residents to capture and share the images that, “make you proud of Chino Hills.” The City of Chino Hills is partnered with the LA County Fair and is hosting this contest for the first time ever. The three categories include: Outdoors, Community Life, and Historical. The outdoor category includes pictures of open spaces, parks, scenery and wildlife. The community life category includes pictures of people, events, activities, business, service and everyday life. The historical category includes photos of significant events, people places, landmarks and grand openings.

The California Association of Realtors (C.A.R.) President Geoff McIntosh, in response to the Federal Housing Finance Agency’s (FHFA) announcement to increase the 2017 conforming loan limits for mortgages acquired by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac said, “C.A.R. applauds FHFA Director Mel Watt for raising the existing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac conforming loan limits, which will provide stability and certainty to the housing market and give tens of thousands of California homebuyers a chance at homeownership, the FHFA recognizes that home prices have recovered, not just in California but also across the nation. Many higher-priced areas of the state will benefit greatly from the higher limit.”

Chino Hills Police Station Thanksgiving Food Drive

Ongoing until November 18th, the Chino Hills Police Department is collecting food donations for a Thanksgiving Holiday Food Drive. Chino Hills residents may drop off any non-perishable food items.

The hours that the Police department allows donations are Monday-Friday, anytime between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. in the main lobby of 14077 Peyton Drive, Chino Hills.
